Considered as a cross-sectoral discipline, mechatronics combines the principles of mechanics, electronics, information technology and control engineering to create a reliable and long-lasting system at optimal cost.

Our business: translating your need into an industrial product

Thanks to our experience in the industrial, home-automation, automotive and civil & defence avionics sectors, we combine all your criteria of ergonomics, aesthetics and sturdiness to develop your project with the desired functionalities. We bring together style and industrial sturdiness in order to create your smart industrial object (IIoT) or onboard electronics product, regardless of the environment into which it is to be integrated.

To do so, we deploy our expertise in order to support you throughout the project:

  • Expertise in design tools for producing prototypes and manufacturing products in batches. These may be tools such as 3D printing, CATIA V5, Pro-E Wild Fire Creo or Solidworks 2019.
  • Expertise in simulation tools for testing the reliability of products, thereby anticipating and managing risks. Our experts conduct, for example, thermal, rheology or vibration simulations.
  • A network of qualified partners composed of:
    • specialist suppliers who contribute their skills in thermal and mechanical simulation (dropping or vibratory stress in particular) with ANSYS software, AutoDesk suite, or FlowTherm
    • toolmaker suppliers or injectors of mechanical parts (plastics, fine sheet metal, alloys, etc.)

Our strength: a design office integrated to our production system

At the Electronics activity of LACROIX, our design center incorporates mechatronics from your idea right through to production launch. All departments – mechatronics, hardware, software, industrialisation and product certification – work hand in hand to bring you a tailored response meeting your objectives for cost, quality and turnaround time.

Thanks to integration of our design teams with the production teams in the factory, we implement, from the design phase, best practice in manufacturability and maintainability. This organisation notably facilitates advanced industrialisation of the product and enables fluidity throughout the project.

In compliance with our eco-design approach, we use the techniques and methods at our disposal to bring your project to fruition. We strive to seek out alternative materials to thermo-plastics produced by the “fossil energy” sector, as well as to anticipate ergonomic solutions in order to reduce the impact on consumption. Likewise, supply methods and assembly flow management are anticipated to reduce the harmful effects of waste.

Whatever the sector of activity, our expert teams are at your disposal to bring your electronics project to life.
