Immersed in a world where the environmental impact of each of our actions is increasingly under scrutiny, is eco-design or awareness of the environmental impact of a product in the world of electronics real or just an illusion?
For the Electronics activity of LACROIX, it is more than just a fad, it is a genuine desire.
As the shortage of raw materials in general, and of components in particular, has not spared the global electronics industry, there is an urgent need for all players across the entire electronics sector to mobilise.
Suppliers, EMS providers and customers, by acting together we can make our industry more environmentally sound. To succeed in a project, you must therefore factor in the environmental impact of the product as a criterion when striving for the crucial “Quality, Cost and Time” triptych.

LACROIX is taking initiatives to rise to this challenge. There is still a long way to go to achieve the ideal balance, but awareness and the implementation of simple measures allow us to continuously improve our processes. Suppliers and customers, we need to move forward together in this quest to be environmentally responsible!
- We encourage the use of recyclable, recycled or eco-friendly materials
- We anticipate components obsolescence
- We reduce the number of parts used for a product
- We promote the design of repairable and recyclable products
- We optimise the power consumption of our electronics
- We select the most energy-efficient power supply for our customers’ on-board or Industrial IoT systems
- We limit the number of assembly processes in our factories
- We streamline the product manufacturing cycle by better management of inventory and spaces and by shortening the time it takes to move things around the plant
- We optimise the environmental impact of our factories by opting for systems requiring fewer resources, less energy, etc.
- We take care to reducing the impact of transportation on the product’s environmental footprint
